The Princess of Snark and I will set off for visits to Beloit College and Knox College (maybe) in the next few days. I say Knox maybe because while the other schools she was accepted at have sent their financial aid letters, we're still waiting on Knox. I've called the financial aid office several times, asked them to re-send or email it and they've promised to do so, except they haven't.
Why is it so important that I know how much they're offering? Because gas costs too much and time is too precious to spend driving four hours in each direction to visit a school that isn't offering a decent financial aid package. Just as I was about to write them off, they finally emailed and what we thought was going to be an easy decision just got tougher. Take a look. And yes, those costs you see are per year!
Up until today, PoS was pretty sure it was a tie between Beloit and Truman. We can pretty much rule out Ohio Wesleyan, but Knox and their last minute email still leaves us with tough decisions to make. Stay tuned for adventures from the road starting this Friday.

Marinate on This
Great news: PoS has received scholarships to every school to which she applied.
Bad news: College is expensive!
We're no closer to making a decision about school. We've submitted the FAFSA (financial aid) form to all four schools and now all we can do is wait to see how much aid they award us. There's a pretty big gap between what she's been awarded in scholarships and how much tuition and room & board are per year. That's right. Those costs below aren't for four years, that's the price annually. Take a look and then say a prayer for my nerves because mama is stressed out!
